7-Day Trial & Subscription Terms
Version: trial-7day-card-2026-10-20. Last updated: October 20, 2026. Applies only when you expressly accept this version for the card-required trial.
These supplementary terms govern the 7-day card-required Scholar Plus trial offered by Solaread (Suwen Works Inc.) ("we"). By choosing the trial button beside the linked terms notice and continuing to Paddle checkout, you agree to this displayed version. They supplement our Terms of Use, Refund Policy and Privacy Policy. They do not change an existing customer's subscription or require anyone who does not take this trial to accept a new policy. Mandatory consumer rights and any more protective applicable Paddle terms prevail.
1. Eligibility and one trial per account
The offer is for eligible accounts whose registration completed on or after October 31, 2026 at 00:00 in America/Toronto (October 31, 2026 at 04:00 UTC), which have not previously claimed this card trial and have no conflicting active or pending billing. A canceled historical paid subscription or an ordinary grant does not by itself permanently exclude an account. Eligibility is determined by our account service and confirmed at checkout, not by your device's date or interface language. There is no separate deadline to claim an eligible trial. You may continue using Free without providing a card.
Each account may receive the trial once. Cancelling, retrying checkout, signing out or deleting an account does not restore its trial eligibility. This is an account-based restriction; we do not represent that we identify one individual across different email accounts. No new card fingerprint or advertising identifier is collected for this offer.
This version is not available for billing addresses in Quebec, Canada, because a French-language trial contract is not being offered. A French interface or Paddle's French buyer terms do not replace that contract. Eligibility is checked using the billing address. Customers with a Quebec billing address may choose a regular paid subscription on its separately displayed terms. If the final billing address for a trial is in Quebec, that trial is rejected. If a nonzero charge has already occurred for that rejected trial, we automatically refund it in full and stop its renewals, without requiring you to apply. A zero-dollar card setup needs no refund. This does not restrict a separately chosen regular paid subscription.
2. What the trial includes and when it starts
The order is for one Scholar Plus subscription. A credit or debit card is required and is collected by Paddle. The trial begins only after Paddle confirms successful activation, not when you register or open checkout. The trial lasts 7 days and includes the current Plus features and one full Plus cycle's included usage allowance for that trial period. It is not a daily allowance and is not reduced to 7/30 of the monthly allowance. Pro has no trial under this offer.
Before authorization, the offer is 7 days after card setup and Paddle activation; no exact end or first-charge timestamp is promised in advance. After activation, the trial end and first scheduled charge date, time and time zone come from Paddle and are shown in Settings → Billing and the subscription confirmation. Check the final checkout details before submitting; cancel before the confirmed trial end to avoid paid renewal. If provider dates are temporarily unavailable, we do not substitute a date estimated from your device clock. Plus is available on the same account in supported web, iOS and Mac readers; this trial can be started only on the web.
3. Today US$0; then the Plus monthly price shown at checkout
Today: US$0. Unless you cancel before the disclosed trial end, the subscription converts automatically to paid Plus at the Plus monthly price shown in Paddle checkout before you order, until cancelled. For example: in the United States and Canada, US$4.99 per month plus applicable tax; in France, 4,99 € per month including VAT; in Japan, 880円 per month including tax; in Mexico, 99 MXN per month including tax. Paddle calculates any applicable tax and displays the amount and total before the final checkout confirmation. Card authorization checks may appear at your bank; they are not a trial subscription fee.
Your first paid monthly period begins when the first subscription payment succeeds and receives a new Plus period allowance. Later charges recur monthly on the subscription's billing schedule. This is an ongoing subscription with no fixed number of monthly renewals; you do not owe all future months in advance. Failed payment does not establish a new paid Plus period. Any locally required additional confirmation must be completed before a paid renewal can proceed. We will not grant paid Plus solely because you completed the checkout screen.
The trial-conversion price is not combined with a student discount. Eligible students may instead choose the separately displayed direct paid student option before ordering; the trial must not silently charge a different student price. This offer does not add or extend referral/channel rewards. Rewards already granted before the registration cutoff are not taken away; the cutoff rules apply separately to new accounts and do not postpone the trial's first charge.
4. Necessary billing reminders
In addition to Paddle's confirmation, Solaread sends a billing reminder approximately 24 hours after trial activation and another one day before the trial ends, showing the charge date, price and how to cancel. For customers in Mexico, we also send a reminder six days before each monthly renewal. These are necessary billing messages, are not marketing, and are not controlled by marketing unsubscribe settings. If a required reminder was not successfully sent on time before a charge, we automatically refund that charge in full and stop renewal. You do not need to apply for that refund. We record and retry this obligation for each affected transaction, including after recovery from a service outage. This is an automatic refund safeguard, not a promise that Paddle will never collect the payment.
5. How to cancel
Open Settings → Billing → Cancel plan in the web application and confirm. You may also use the manage-subscription link in your Paddle confirmation email or Paddle buyer support. You can request cancellation before the trial end without paying a trial fee. Your request is registered immediately to stop renewal, and Plus remains available until the disclosed trial end. After a successful paid renewal, cancellation normally leaves Plus available until the end of that paid period.
If Paddle temporarily prevents a subscription change close to a charge, including its last-30-minute processing window, we still accept and record your cancellation request, provide its receipt, and retry the provider cancellation. We do not require you to wait until after the deadline to make the request. If a renewal charge is already in progress after your cancellation request, it is refunded. Keep your cancellation receipt. If you cannot use the in-app control, contact [email protected] or Paddle buyer support promptly.
6. Refunds and withdrawal supplement
A trial cancelled before its end has no trial subscription charge. After conversion, we do not normally prorate or refund the unused part of a paid monthly period solely because you cancel. This does not exclude statutory withdrawal or refund rights, product-defect remedies, mistaken/unauthorized charges, charges taken after a cancellation request, or more protective Paddle policies. A cancellation of future renewal and a withdrawal/refund request are different actions; specify which you request.
Paddle's Buyer Terms, section 15 (Consumers residing in the EU/EEA and UK), explicitly provide a 14-day withdrawal right, subject to the stated digital-product early-use conditions. Its Refund Policy, sections 2.2 and 3.1, provides additional detail for the EU, EEA, Switzerland and UK. In particular, section 2.2.2 says: If a Subscription includes a free trial period, then, as soon as that free trial period ends, you will again have a period of 14 calendar days to exercise your right to withdraw.
This is Paddle's published protection; we do not shorten it to the 7-day trial or describe it as a new general right on every monthly renewal. Paddle's regional rules may also provide rights in other countries, including Canada.
Continuing to Paddle checkout does not waive a withdrawal right. Paddle's policy describes the circumstances in which express consent and use of digital content can affect that right; any applicable consent must be separately and validly obtained. Starting or using the trial alone is not treated by Solaread as that waiver.
To exercise a right or request a refund, use Paddle.net and choose the withdrawal option or Request refund, or the support/manage-transaction link in your receipt. Paddle's policy section 3.1.1 states that eligible EU transactions have an online withdrawal button in its customer portal, accessible from the confirmation email or Paddle.net, and that a qualifying withdrawal is refunded within 14 days of receipt of the request. UK consumers may use its support/refund route. State clearly that you wish to withdraw and identify the transaction using your receipt; never send a full card number or CVV. Save Paddle's acknowledgment. If you cannot access the route or receive an acknowledgment, email [email protected] so we can help you preserve the request and contact the seller. Applicable law and the more protective supplier/provider terms control your entitlement.
7. Trial privacy supplement
Paddle collects and processes the card information. Solaread does not collect or store your full card number or CVV. As described in our existing Privacy Policy, we receive limited billing references and billing information needed to operate the subscription. For this offer we record the account's trial-use state, the displayed trial terms version and server time when trial checkout is created, the billing address, provider-confirmed subscription schedule, subscription and transaction identifiers, and necessary reminder, cancellation and refund records. We use these to perform the contract, prevent repeat trials on an account, deliver required notices, handle cancellations/refunds and demonstrate what was authorized. Server records determine consent and eligibility; device data alone does not grant a trial.
This supplement introduces no advertising ID, cross-account card fingerprint, or new cross-account email-hash identifier. Trial records follow the billing, legal-obligation and account-deletion rules in the existing Privacy Policy; they are not a new indefinite retention permission. Deletion does not erase records that Paddle or Solaread must legally retain, nor automatically reset an account's eligibility. No new purpose beyond the disclosed contractual, billing and abuse-prevention purposes is authorized by continuing to trial checkout. Privacy requests may be sent to [email protected].
8. Japan: final order confirmation / 最終確認
The final review before ordering must show the order quantity (one Plus subscription), 7-day free period and subsequent ongoing monthly service, today's US$0, the monthly price and any tax shown at checkout, and the total, card payment, the 7-day period after card setup and Paddle activation and how to find the provider-confirmed first-charge schedule after activation, service commencement after Paddle confirmation, no application deadline, and the cancellation/refund conditions above. You can return without ordering, change the selected offer, and review/correct billing details in Paddle checkout before its final confirmation. The button authorizes a trial that automatically becomes paid; it is not merely a free registration.

9. Your copy and contact
You can save or print this versioned page and the checkout summary. Keep the subscription confirmation, first-charge schedule, consent and cancellation receipts sent to you. A later page revision does not silently replace the version you accepted. For subscription questions contact [email protected]. For seller billing, withdrawal and refund requests use Paddle buyer support.
